Privacy

FL Boat Ramps has no accounts, no sign-ups and sets no cookies.

Your location

"Find ramps near me" asks your browser for your location only after you tap the button. Your position is used inside your browser to sort ramps by distance and centre the map. It is never sent to this site, our host, analytics or anyone else, and it is never saved (not in cookies, local storage or logs). Close the page and it is gone.

ZIP code search works the same way: the list of Florida ZIP code centres is part of the site, so the ZIP code you type is looked up in your browser and not sent anywhere.

Maps

When a map is shown, your browser downloads map images from OpenStreetMap's tile servers, which see your IP address and the page you came from, like any website you visit. Because the images are for the area on screen, a map centred on you or on a ZIP code tells those servers roughly which area you are looking at (as with any online map); your exact position is not sent. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

Directions

Navigate buttons open Apple Maps or Google Maps with the ramp's coordinates. Nothing is sent until you tap, and then those services' own privacy policies apply.

Hosting and statistics

The site is static files on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site. If visit statistics are switched on, they use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites.

Offline use

To work without signal, the site saves its own pages, styles and ramp data in your browser's storage. That data comes from us and contains nothing about you. If you dismiss the "Install" banner, the browser remembers that until you close the tab (session storage). You can remove all of it by clearing site data in your browser.

Sponsor form

The sponsor page form is not active yet and sends nothing.
